How ACWSA Helps Educate the North American Market About Chinese Baijiu

Chinese Baijiu, the world’s most-consumed spirit, remains one of the least understood outside of Asia. Its rich heritage, complex aroma, and deep cultural symbolism make it more than a drink — it’s a story of craftsmanship, celebration, and connection.
At the America China Wine & Spirits Association (ACWSA), our mission is to bring that story to life for audiences across North America. Through educational tastings, cultural seminars, and trade collaborations, we help consumers and professionals alike understand Baijiu’s diverse flavor profiles, production techniques, and place in Chinese culture.
We work with distilleries, importers, restaurants, and educators to create authentic experiences that bridge East and West — from hosting Baijiu masterclasses to supporting the inclusion of “Baijiu” as a recognized category in the U.S. market.
By sharing knowledge and building community, ACWSA aims to make Chinese Baijiu not just known, but appreciated — celebrated as a proud part of the global spirits family.
